October 19, 2023，Grand Hyatt Shanghai has appointed Mr. Alex Willats as the new General Manager of the hotel, responsible for the hotel’s day-to-day operations and management, and with his rich experience in hotel operations and management, he will be able to bring the sincere services of Grand Hyatt Shanghai to the guests.

魏利麟先生毕业于英国伦敦南岸大学酒店管理专业，拥有超过 30 年的酒店运营经验，曾任职于香格里拉酒店集团，洲际酒店集团旗下位于世界各国的多家酒店。一直以来，魏利麟先生善于将企业核心价值观作为工作指导原则，重视员工的培养与发展，关注宾客的需求满意度，以及酒店市场战略制定与酒店整体品牌认知推广，其工作足迹遍布英国、巴林、 泰国、菲律宾、印度、卡塔尔、阿曼以及中国等地，拥有丰富的国际酒店管理集团的工作 经历，同时也深谙中国本地酒店管理的特点，曾荣获 2022 年“中国饭店奖”北京地区年度 最佳总经理，带领北京国贸大酒店于 2022 年荣获中国饭店协会所颁发的年度最佳商务酒店，《商务旅行者》年度最佳豪华酒店亚太大奖，唯一一家在《米其林指南》中拥有三家餐厅的酒店等奖项。

Mr. Willats graduated from London South Bank University, with a Degree of Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Hotel Management, and has more than 30 years of experience in hotel operations, having worked for Shangri-La Hotels and Inter Continental Hotels Group in various hotels around the world. Mr. Willats has been always taking the core values of the company as the guiding principles of his work, attaching importance to the training and development of staff, focusing on guest satisfaction, as well as the development of hotel market strategy and the promotion of the hotel’s overall brand awareness, and has worked throughout the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Thailand, Philippines, India, Qatar, Oman, as well as China. He has extensive experiences working for international hotel management groups, and fully understands the characteristics of local hotel management in China. He was awarded the Best General Manager of the Year in Beijing in 2022 by the China Hotel Awards, and led the China World Trade Center Beijing to be honored as the Best Business Hotel of the Year in 2022 by the China Hotel Association, the Best Luxury Hotel of the Year in Asia-Pacific Award by Business Traveler, and the only hotel with three restaurants in the Michelin Guide and other awards.
